My name is Marisa Mailhes and I am the new Dance Director/Choreographer of The Dance Studio here at Ballard School of Performing Arts. I have been dancing for 18 years and cannot imagine my life without dance! I love the physical and mental challenge that both exist within dance. I love the creativity that is put into each dance move, and I love sharing the joy I get from dance with my students.

I have always wanted to run a dance studio as well as teach and after meeting with Rob Hunter, the owner of Ballard School of Performing Arts, I believe Ballard is where I am suppose to be right now. This year is a year of changes for me and wow what a year it is turning out to be! I recently graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in dance in December of 2008. In June I moved back to Dallas, where I was born and raised, and began my communications with Rob. The fall  began the new year of The Dance Studio, which I am thrilled to be heading up!

I have a real passion for what I do and I know that in one way or another I affect every student who walks through that door. I pride myself on being reliable, hardworking, and honest and I am here for the students! I want everyone that takes classes at The Dance Studio to really enjoy their experience here and to have a truly positive experience from start to finish.
